It's a beautiful day!

It's a beautiful day in California... about 65 degrees, blue skies and sunny! We took advantage of it by heading out this morning to check out more of our surroundings. We walked about 15 minutes up the beach to Hermosa Beach. They have an awesome walking/bike path with beautiful houses on one side (the houses go right up to the walkway - people were sitting on their decks right next to us as we walked) and a long stretch of sandy beach on the other. Annie loved watching all the volleyball players (and kept saying, "Ball! Ball!") and saying hello to all the people and dogs as they passed us.

Patrick had read about an open house at Hermosa Beach's Sea Lab and we had a lot of fun checking that out. There were all sorts of open tanks with sea life that we could touch (sting rays, sharks, starfish, halibut, etc). They had a great little area for kids and Annie had her face painted. She sat perfectly still while they painted a butterfly on her cheek... I'm not sure she knew exactly what was going on but she definitely liked checking it out in the mirror later!!

On our way home, we stopped by a fish market and had a great lunch of fresh fish and hush puppies. Annie wasn't so keen on the fish - but she loved the hush puppies and potato salad (one of her favorites!).

Now we're back at home, Annie's napping, and we're planning our afternoon adventure. Hope everyone is having a great day!!! :)
